Monoclonal Production Technologist
About The Position
Werfen is seeking capable and reliable Production Technologists to join their Monoclonal team. In this position, the individual will perform basic maintenance on cell culture bioreactor systems, working with peristaltic pumps and implementing process changes to maximize efficiency and productivity. The Monoclonal Production Technologist will play a key role in the on-going planned maintenance of Hybridoma cell cultures in accordance with established procedures. They will also coordinate subsequent testing and processing of culture supernates to intermediate material for further manufacturing use. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate in Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology or Chemistry
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Physical dexterity to move 10 – 200L containers of cell culture medium
- Schedule flexibility to work weekends and/or holidays as needed to meet production demands
Responsibilities
- Maintaining cell cultures in bioreactors and flask vectors
- Testing and processing culture supernate and intermediate material
- Performing maintenance of equipment and laboratory facilities
- Manufacturing solutions used in production and processing of raw materials
- Performing computer entry procedures
- Writing and/or reviewing standard operating procedures for accuracy
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies stocked in department
- Wearing complete gowning 50% of workday
- Coordinating and performing trainings
