About The Position

The Monitor Technologist is responsible for ensuring continuous telemetry monitoring is established and documentation is maintained. This role involves ensuring monitoring equipment is functioning correctly, communicating dysrhythmias or rhythm changes in a timely manner, and maintaining knowledge and skills related to dysrhythmia monitoring. The technologist will also participate in quality improvement projects, support age/developmental appropriate care, and promote efficient use of fiscal resources.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of an approved dysrhythmia course during first week of hire.
  • Must pass dysrhythmia test during first week of orientation.
  • Knowledge of various dysrhythmias
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
  • Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms.
  • Manual and finger dexterity.
  • Physical abilities testing required.
