About The Position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health opened its doors April 2025 as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 25 years! Integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, this enhanced integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. Our advanced hospital will offer 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, onsite 550-car parking garage, and a helipad for emergency transport. We are seeking an experienced Monitor Technician (Full-Time, Nights). Our ideal candidate is responsible for the continuous observation, interpretation, and documentation of patients' cardiac rhythms in an inpatient acute care hospital. This role involves operating telemetry monitoring systems, identifying and reporting dysrhythmias, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) OR Certified Cardiac Monitor Technician (CCMT) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Basic computer skills for telemetry monitoring and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize patient condition changes
  • Effective communication and interpreted skills
  • Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a formal Monitor Technician or EKG Technician training program preferred
  • Prior experience in telemetry monitoring is advantageous
