About The Position

Under the direction of the Unit Director, the Monitor Technician (MT) performs unit functions appropriate to the position and in compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. Duties include viewing the monitor screen for changes in patient cardiac rhythm and notifying the RN of changes noted, as well as transcribing physician orders.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• BLS certification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Time management skills.
• Customer-focused skills.
• Ability to form effective working relationships with hospital staff.

Nice To Haves

• Education in medical terminology.
• Previous experience in basic EKG interpretations.

Responsibilities
