About The Position
The Monitor Technician is skilled in reading and interpreting cardiac monitors and arrhythmias. This role provides clerical support on the patient care unit, maintaining accurate order entry and transmission of physician’s orders to ancillary departments, working under the direction of a licensed nurse. The technician accurately and timely transcribes all orders from the chart to order entry in Imed, including CCU orders and DOU emergency orders. They utilize computer skills for accurate unit census and order entry, and maintain all log books, such as census, telemetry, and consults.
Requirements
- Completion of Basic Arrhythmia course and pass dysrhythmia test.
- Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) certification.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
