Responsibilities
- Documents and interprets telemetry rhythm strips at intervals and with patient changes.
- Performs independent check of strips to include: time, PR interval measurement, QRS measurement, QT measurement, ectopy and baseline rhythm.
- Assigns telemetry monitoring as ordered by physician.
- Effectively communicates telemetry-related patient information to members of the health care team.
- Continuously checks telemetry monitoring system to ensure proper working order.
- Demonstrates knowledge of escalating medical emergency and Code Blue process.
- May perform relevant duties as needed.
