About The Position

Under the direction of the Unit Director, the Monitor Technician (MT) performs unit functions such as viewing monitor screens for changes in patient cardiac rhythm and notifying the RN of any changes noted, transcribing physician orders, and other duties appropriate to the position and in compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or G.E.D.
• BLS certification
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Time management skills
• Customer focused skills
• Ability to form effective working relationships with hospital staff

Nice To Haves

• Education in medical terminology
• Previous experience in basic EKG interpretations

Responsibilities
