About The Position

Rivers Health is seeking a Monitor Tech to monitor telemetries, mount telemetry strips, and provide immediate attention to any change in the monitor pattern, notifying the nurse on staff. This role also performs secretarial and clerical duties in the Intensive Care Unit, in addition to ordering type duties. The Monitor Tech contributes to the cleanliness of the unit.

Requirements

• BCLS required
• Must meet unit proficiency standards
• High school graduate or equivalent required
• On the job orientation program
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
• Basic computer skills
• Must pass an arrhythmia exam (90%) prior to start
• High school diploma or equivalent
