Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- BLS
- At least 1 year of experience as a Monitor Tech
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the director and with the direct supervision of the Charge RN admits and discharges patients from the monitoring system
- communicates cardiac rhythms to nursing when requested or when changes occur
- prints and interprets rhythm strips, per policy
- maintains continuous monitoring for patients on cardiac telemetry
- utilizing a high degree or critical thinking skills to both effectively and appropriately communicate, manage equipment, and alarm settings, per policy
- billing input for telemetry and/or other patient charges
