About The Position

Provides clerical and technical support for the nursing staff of 7 Tower, a Medical/Surgical/Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit. This role involves performing duties assigned by the Director or designee. Clerical support includes maintaining patient records, computer transcription, ordering and storing supplies, and providing excellent customer service and communication. Technical support includes arrhythmia detection and operating cardiac monitoring equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Act 33/73 Clearances.
• Ability to perform tasks with occasional standing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, climbing stairs, squatting, crawling, reaching overhead, pushing up to 20 lbs, pulling up to 20 lbs, lifting floor to waist up to 50 lbs, lifting waist to shoulder up to 20 lbs, lifting shoulder to overhead up to 20 lbs, and carrying up to 20 lbs.
• Constant sitting, reaching horizontal, finger manipulation, seeing, hearing, and repetitive upper extremity use.
• Frequent grasping and repetitive lower extremity use.
• Occasional exposure to cramped quarters, noise, electrical energy, slippery walking surfaces.
• Constant exposure to radiant energy (computer terminal more than 4 hours per shift).
• Sedentary to Light cardiovascular energy requirements - Constant.

Nice To Haves

• Basic Arrhythmia Course.
• Recent experience in a related area, OR related educational background.
• Previous experience working as a unit secretary/monitor tech.
