About The Position
This role involves providing continuous ECG monitoring through the assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias. The technician will measure P-R intervals, QRS widths, and ST segment deviations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting monitoring problems, identifying causes, and implementing solutions. The role also requires maintaining inventories of supplies, hardware, and telemetry transmitters, ensuring they are in working condition and reporting any malfunctions promptly.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- No experience required
- Successful completion of PHC telemetry monitoring competency assessment within 30 Days Required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience as a monitor technician
- Certification as a Certified Cardiac Monitor Telemetry Technician (CCMTT) through the American Education Certification Association Preferred
- Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International Preferred
Responsibilities
