Monitor Tech Full Time Rotating Shifts
About The Position
This is a full-time Monitor Tech position with rotating shifts. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course upon hire, and a minimum score of eighty percent (80%) on the SAMC entry-level recognition examination within six months of hire. Candidates should have twelve to eighteen months of experience in an acute care setting or successful completion of a medical terminology course. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication in various situations are essential. A current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is also required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course upon hire
- Minimum score of eighty percent (80%) on the SAMC entry-level recognition examination within six months of hire
- Twelve to eighteen months experience in an acute care setting or successful completion of a medical terminology course
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with medical center staff under routine and stressful situations
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card
