About The Position

The Monitor Tech will work in Clinical Services at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens, GA. The Monitor Tech is responsible for obtaining, analyzing and accurately documenting patient rhythm strips under the supervision of an RN. Other job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: interpreting and processing physician orders, answering phones, maintaining telemetry units. Some limited patient care (ex. Feeding, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and vital signs). This should be performed under the supervision of an RN or the Nurse Manager.

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• 1 year of telemetry and clerical duties preferred.
• Hospital or Clinical experience preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities
