Tel Monitor/Safety Rounder (CNA), Day Shift, Inpatient Rehabilitation
About The Position
Adventist Rehabilitation - Rockville is seeking a Monitor Tech/Safety Rounder for their rehabilitation department. This role involves providing continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients, with the primary responsibility of verbally redirecting patients from at-risk behaviors. The Monitor Tech/Safety Rounder will also be responsible for immediately notifying nursing staff if a patient requires assistance and may perform walking safety rounds for high-risk patients. The position requires knowledge and support of patient and institutional confidentiality and hospital policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Successful completion of the CNA program or the first year of Nursing School Program, and successful completion of the CNA exam
- Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maryland and be on the State of Maryland Registry
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients
- First line of action is to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at-risk behaviors
- Immediately notify the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance
- Alternately capable of providing walking safety rounds of high-risk patients to maintain safety
- Be knowledgeable and supportive of patient and institutional confidentiality and related hospital policies
