Mayo Clinic is seeking a Monitor Technician for their Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the night shift. The Monitor Technician is responsible for providing continuous ECG monitoring to inpatient telemetry patients. This role involves maintaining close communication with nursing care units regarding patient monitoring and arrhythmia notification, and following emergency procedures for critically acute code situations. The work environment operates 365 days a year. The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit at Mayo Clinic Arizona is a high-acuity team specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic patient care, staffed based on patient acuity with numerous resources available 24/7. The department is expanding to a newly designed space with 46 beds and cares for a variety of cardiac patients including those with Congestive Heart Failure, CV Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Heart Transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension, Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD), Pulmonary Artery Catheters, Ultrafiltration, Post Cardiac Procedure, and those requiring Titratable Medications and Arterial Lines.
