About The Position
Illinois Central School Bus School Bus, a division of North America Central School Bus is looking for Bus Aides to join our growing team in Waukegan, IL. Requirements
- Good verbal communication skills
- At least 21 years old & hold a valid state I.D.
- Pass a background check, drug screen & physical
Responsibilities
- Knows the route and remains alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while enroute.
- Keeps order on the bus.
- Communicates behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver.
- Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
- Assists in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks, CSRS and wheel chairlifts
- Assists students in the loading and unloading process.
- Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
- Attend all safety and training meetings.
- Conducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency door.
- May also require physical removal of disabled child from bus.
- Assist driver in completion of required paperwork for District, State, ICSB, etc.
- Cleans the insides of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.
- Other specialized functions as required by contract.
