About The Position

Kestra Financial is seeking an energetic, financially curious, and detailed oriented candidate to join our Cashiering Team. The Cashiering Team is an integral department in managing firm and client risk, while ensuring client requests to disburse and deposit funds are processed quickly and accurately. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detailed oriented, loves working with numbers and is eager to learn how to Power Financial Independence by having a serve, make it happen, and one team mentality.

Requirements

  • Ability to successfully pass basic math and written communication assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned duties accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of exercising sound business judgment and working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Accurate typing skills of 45+ words per minute (WPM) and proficiency in 10-key data entry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible to work additional hours or overtime as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum of 1 year of service with Kestra.
  • Internal applicants must also have a minimum of 1 year service in current role unless approved by EVP.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all regulatory rules, written desktop procedures and company policies.
  • Identify exceptions/anomalies around activities and functions processed within Cashiering and bring to Anti-money Laundering and Managements' attention immediately
  • Process Cashiering functions, including, but not limited to: Check disbursements and deposits, Wires, Journals, and EFTs
  • Timely maintenance of AdvisorComplete and Salesforce queues
  • Monitor legal paperwork for securities deposited
  • Monthly blotter reconciliation
  • Generate and review daily reports
  • Communicate directly with advisors and staff to resolve problem issues
  • Take deposits to the bank, as needed
  • Work on various projects from management
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
