We are seeking an experienced Momentum Lounge Manager to lead the daily operation and continued growth of Momentum. This position plays an important role in delivering an exceptional member and guest experience while driving membership, revenue, events, operational performance, and team development. Position Summary The Momentum Lounge Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and guest experience of Momentum. This leader oversees daily lounge operations, membership growth and retention, food and beverage service, special events and programming, financial performance, and team development. The ideal candidate is a highly visible and relationship-driven hospitality leader who understands how to create an elevated experience while also managing the business behind it. This individual should be equally comfortable engaging with members and VIP guests, coaching associates, executing events, building community relationships, and analyzing the operational and financial performance of the lounge.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of leadership experience in hospitality, private clubs, upscale restaurants, lounges, hotels, event management, or a related environment.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations and elevated service standards.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to comfortably engage members, VIP guests, community partners, and hotel leadership.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing labor, expenses, revenue, and operational performance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required Kansas City, Missouri food and alcohol service permits.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous luxury hotel, private club, members' club, rooftop lounge, or upscale food and beverage leadership experience.
  • Experience with membership development, retention, sales, or business development.
  • Experience planning and executing private events and experiential programming.
  • Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and elevated beverage service.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and cost controls.
  • Marriott or luxury/lifestyle hotel experience.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale, hotel, scheduling, and membership management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all daily operations of Momentum while maintaining an elevated, welcoming, and consistent member and guest experience.
  • Serve as a visible leader and primary ambassador for Momentum, building meaningful relationships with members, hotel guests, VIPs, and community partners.
  • Maintain the atmosphere, appearance, cleanliness, and service standards expected of an exclusive rooftop lounge.
  • Oversee Momentum's membership program, including member recruitment, onboarding, engagement, communication, and retention.
  • Develop strategies and outreach initiatives designed to grow membership and increase member engagement.
  • Actively network within the Kansas City community to develop prospective members, partnerships, and business opportunities.
  • Create personalized experiences that strengthen member loyalty and encourage repeat visitation.
  • Monitor guest and member feedback and respond promptly and professionally to concerns and service recovery opportunities.
  • Develop and execute member programming, private events, networking functions, tastings, cocktail experiences, and other special events.
  • Identify creative programming opportunities that enhance membership value, strengthen the Momentum experience, and generate incremental revenue.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Culinary, and Hotel Operations teams to maximize private event and programming opportunities.
  • Coordinate event logistics, staffing, vendors, timelines, and operational execution.
  • Drive revenue through memberships, food and beverage sales, private events, programming, and strategic partnerships.
  • Monitor business trends and develop strategies to increase utilization, revenue, and profitability.
  • Manage departmental labor, scheduling, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and operating expenses.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Momentum.
  • Monitor food and beverage costs, labor productivity, and other key performance indicators.
  • Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop Momentum associates.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional service.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Momentum's food, beverage, cocktail, wine, and programming offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service, food safety, sanitation, cash handling, and hotel operating procedures.
  • Represent Momentum and Cascade Hotel at community events, networking functions, and industry gatherings as appropriate.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners to strengthen Momentum's presence within the Kansas City market.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on promotions, member communications, social media opportunities, and initiatives that strengthen awareness and engagement.
  • Partner with Cascade Hotel leadership to ensure Momentum's operation and experience align with the overall goals and standards of the hotel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
