About The Position

Castle Biosciences is growing and looking to hire Molecular Technologists to work from our laboratory in Scottsdale, AZ. The role involves extraction and analyzing RNA samples using various molecular laboratory techniques, including RNA quantification, PCR, quality control of reagents, and instrument maintenance. It also includes interpreting data, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results, and collaborating with team members for optimal workflow and efficiency. The molecular technologist must be proficient in molecular techniques, maintain optimal working conditions, and ensure stringent quality control measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology from an accredited institution.
• 1-2 years of experience in a molecular biology testing environment, clinical, or equivalent laboratory environment.
• Completion of military training for laboratory technicians as high complexity testing personnel.
• Completion of a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training program.
• Minimum coursework and training requirements: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses, including 6 semester hours of both Chemistry & Biology & an additional 12 semester hours in any combination of Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Laboratory Science.
• Completion of a clinical laboratory training program, OR at least 3 months of documented laboratory training in each specialty area where the individual will perform high-complexity testing.
• Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, successful collaboration with others, and independent thought.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Obtain American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Technologist in Molecular Biology (MB) board certification within 2 years of employment (if not already credentialed upon hire).
