Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand work orders
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical ability
  • Ability to easily and comfortably use hand tools
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders frequently

Responsibilities

  • Perform job changeover by removing and storing tools and auxiliary equipment to prepare machines for next production run.
  • Remove molds from the machine and set the new molds safely using overhead cranes
  • Ensure that the correct mold and materials are being used
  • Make all necessary hydraulic, water and electrical connections
  • Communicate problems, needs and important information to supervisor
  • Fill in for Press Attendant as required
  • Provide and implement ideas to improve the efficiency of the mold setting process and reduce down time
  • Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment
