Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
3 years of industrial injection molding experience is required
Must know the machine controllers, different parts to injection molding machine, different tool types and their components.
Must know tooling terminologies.
Basic understanding in reading blue prints and using different measuring devices.
Must know the machines auxiliary equipment and good working knowledge of robots.
Strong knowledge in setting and pulling tools.
Must have knowledge of scientific molding and process optimization.
Basic knowledge of different types of materials and molding conditions.
Must be able to work process on injection molding machines.
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.
Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

Nice To Haves

Medical molding device experience preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure all molds and molding equipment are kept in optimal operating conditions at all times to guarantee top quality output with minimal down time.
Troubleshoot molding machines and processes.
Notify Supervisor and/or Mold Toolmaker if equipment is not operating properly.
Obtain information for different types of materials and molding conditions.
Responsible for all cold and restarts of the molding machines.
Ensure parts are to specification.
Ensure all PM’s on the running machine are done for every shift.
Ensure all changes are documented.
Maintain a neat and organized work area, machine, tooling, and parts.
Keep insert inventory up to date and notify supervisor when running low.
Complete Mold repair work order sheets when tool work is needed and notify the supervisor.
Demonstrate the ability to work in a steady, professional manner with little or no supervision.
Ability to work in a team environment.
