About The Position

Dynomax, a family-owned company founded in 1986, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and developing high-precision machined components, injection molding and tooling, sub-assemblies, automated work cells, specialty machines, and machine tool spindles. The Molding Supervisor for the 2nd Shift will be responsible for coordinating production and teamwork with the production coordinator, molding technicians, and molding operators. This role involves working with smaller tonnage Injection Molding presses and highly engineered materials such as Thermoset and Thermoplastics.

Requirements

Knowledgeable in Thermo Plastics and Thermo Set materials.
Ability to read and interpret part/engineering drawings.
Ability to use basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
Ability to delegate and assign work to appropriate personnel.
Knowledge of company policy and employment laws.
Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize workload in order to maximize production results.
Complex problem-solving skills and the ability to identify the problem, review and evaluate correlating information, and execute high-impact solutions.
Advanced judgment and decision-making skills - ability to carry out a cost-benefit analysis of potential action plans and identify the most favorable outcome.
Ability to implement and achieve the strategic initiatives assigned by the general manager.

Responsibilities

Motivate employees to work together and accomplish work tasks.
Monitor department production, operations, and quality to ensure standards and metrics are being met.
Direct and coordinate work tasks of direct reports.
Assist production as needed performing all functions and responsibilities of a molding technician.
Assist in hiring and/or terminating department staff in compliance with company policies and employment laws.
Prepare and maintain personnel records of direct reports and submit them to the department Manager and HR.
Maintain time sheets and monitor overtime of direct reports.
Analyze production, maintenance, quality control, and other operational reports to detect and resolve concerns.
Prepare, review, and monitor department reports.
Develop and implement ongoing production, quality, and cost improvement initiatives.
