About The Position

Provides technical support to Injection Molding Machines to achieve desired quality, quantity, service and cost standards through safe and proper utilization equipment. Ensure proper set-up molds and processes for injection molding machines and automated equipment.

Requirements

Hands on injection molding process experience
Experience with equipment maintenance for molding machines, auxiliary and automated equipment.
Technical experience troubleshooting injection molding equipment issues along with experience assembling/disassembling injection molding tooling
Experience with setting up molds and processes for injection molding machines and automated equipment.
Ability to read gages (i.e., micrometer, depth gauge, calipers)
Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

Visually inspects components made on Injection Molding Machines, and stages them appropriately based on defined standard work.
Trouble shoots process and machine issues and repairs/corrects findings.
Fulfills material handling duties
Lift (up to 50lbs), weigh and mix resin based materials.
Generates production paperwork for required production runs based off of schedule board and direction from supervisor or technician. Maintains all paperwork necessary throughout length of production run.
Perform production line startup, shutdown, and line clearance under guidance of technician or supervisor.
Performs basic quality inspections of molded components.
Follows the company’s medical manufacturing quality system per ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines to insure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Adheres to company safety policies as well as OSHA rules and regulations.
Performs multiple ongoing tasks keeping mold machines running productively and within compliance standards.
Notifies appropriate personnel of any abnormalities with equipment or systems.
Helps keep department in compliance with Lean initiatives including 5S.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet the objectives of the facility.
