Molding Operator/Inspector - 1st Shift
About The Position

We are recognized as a leading manufacturer of brushed and brushless DC motors, stepper motor-based linear actuators, precision Acme lead screw and anti-backlash nut assemblies, linear rail and guide systems, gear motors, drives, and complete custom automation sub-systems. We are seeking to add a motivated individual to our team on our 1st shift. The Mold Operator/Inspector is responsible for producing machined parts by operating a Molding machine. They will also inspect the product produced to determine if it is acceptable and meets quality specifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years manufacturing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Versatility required to perform many and varied assembly and soldering operations manually
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate injection molding machine
- Operate blending machine and be able to combine raw pellets together
- Work from drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal or written instructions, work orders, and process sheets
- Report defective materials, scrap, quality problems, or any other unusual condition or circumstance to a technician and/or supervisor immediately
- Fill machine hoppers
- Maintain personal production and quality standards as determined by supervision
- Maintain records and other pertinent data as instructed or required
- Responsible for product quality - work must be inspected to ensure conformity to specifications and quality standards before, during, and after completion
- Inspect products for surface defects and flaws
- Position and secure threaded cores and/or overmolds into mold
- Follow established procedures as well as quality and safety standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
