The Molding Associate I is an entry-level production role responsible for silicon injection molding machines operation to produce high-quality components. This role focuses on learning the injection molding process, following standard procedures, and supporting production efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards. Second shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm Second shift Operators receive a +$1.00 shift differential in addition to their hourly base pay for working this shift Now offering a $2500 sign on bonus for new employees!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • No prior injection molding experience required; training provided on the job
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic computer/data entry skills a plus
  • Reliable transportation required (location not accessible by public transit)
  • Ability to read, write, and understand basic English required
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Operate injection molding machines under supervision to produce molded components according to specifications
  • Load raw materials, monitor machine cycles, and ensure molds are properly prepared
  • Conduct basic in-process checks using gauges or calipers, reporting any issues to a Lead or Operator II
  • Identify and report obvious molding defects (e.g., flash, short shots, burns) to a supervisor
  • Assist with material changes, purging, and housekeeping of molding equipment
  • Record production data, scrap, and downtime as directed
  • Follow all safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Participate in training and skill development to progress to higher-level roles
