About The Position

This role is for a 2nd Shift Molding Operator Assistant. The primary focus is to ensure efficient line operation, maximize production, and minimize scrap. The assistant will support Process Technicians, assist operators with daily routines and packing, and oversee adherence to quality procedures (SQF, HACCP, ISO). Responsibilities include managing supplies, completing paperwork, performing line clearances, and potentially filling in as an Operator. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, basic math and computer skills, and a team-oriented attitude. Previous experience as an Inspector Packer is preferred. The position requires flexibility in working hours before and after the standard shift.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot problems quickly
  • Basic mathematics and computer skills
  • Team player
  • Good work and attendance record
  • Ability to work flexible hours before and after shift.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds regularly
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders safely
  • Must be able to stand, walk or bend through an entire shift
  • Must be able to differentiate color
  • Need adequate eyesight to detect part imperfections
  • Must be able to work around grease, oils, and solvents without adverse reactions.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders throughout shift
  • Good manual dexterity of arms and fingers

Responsibilities

  • Assist Process Techs in ensuring lines run efficiently, maximizing production, and minimizing scrap.
  • Assist operators in their daily routines.
  • Oversee and assist Operators with packing parts and associated paperwork.
  • Ensure all employees follow SQF, HACCP, and ISO procedures.
  • Return all unused components.
  • Provide breaks for operators.
  • Print labels, travelers, spec sheets, and picks.
  • Complete all paperwork pertaining to items needed (job specific).
  • Ensure the production floor runs efficiently with needed supplies and materials.
  • Fill out and follow line clearances, work order changes, and IML changes.
  • Make sure all paperwork is complete and accurate at the end of the shift.
  • Fill in as Operators as needed.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.
