About The Position

TriMas Packaging LLC is seeking an experienced Plastic Injection Mold Setter/Processor to safely complete mold setups and processing, produce quality products, and lead a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This is an on-site, full-time hourly position on the third shift, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., with some weekend work. The primary location is 500 W 7th Street, Auburn, IN 46706, USA.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One or more years in a leadership role.
Three to five years of plastic injection mold processing experience, from mold setting through successful processing.
Experience with lockout/tagout.
Experience using calipers and indicating micrometers and reading inspection specifications.
Hands-on experience with high-volume injection molding.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Troubleshooting ability.

Nice To Haves

Experience in injection molding tooling and/or maintenance.
Previous Paulson Training.

Responsibilities

Follow safety procedures and ensure safe practices are followed daily.
Set up and start up molding machines.
Ensure injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and associated automated systems are set to regulated parameters, produce products that meet quality standards, and meet production goals.
Inspect products using calipers, optical comparators, and other testing methods and devices.
Monitor and troubleshoot processing problems, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and document process changes.
Reduce material scrap to protect the environment and lower costs.
Provide feedback on mold design and assist Tool and Die Makers in optimizing molds for cycle time and quality.
Lead a team.
