Responsible for performing dimensional, functional testing, and visual quality checks according to appropriate procedures. Communicating non-conforming material (defects) to the quality group and management. Accurately completing all required paperwork/documentation for the products being molded. Pack finished products into cartons and bag and affix content labels. Maintain an open line of communication to assure all problems and changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner. Perform line clearances of effected equipment at end of and prior to production run. Ensure all labels are correct according to the work order information. Record problems which occurred during production, such as defects found, statistical sampling results, reason for stoppages. As requested, assist other team members in cross-training and conduct on the job training of other associates. Transport all in-process and finished materials by hand, tallyho, forklift or other available means necessary in order to maintain production. Must be able to cycle count inventory and help investigate discrepancies. Responsible for the containment of rejected raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods. Will be responsible for organization, retrieval from warehouse stock locations and proper storage of raw materials at workstations. Perform preventative maintenance duties as associated with job functions. Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes and Shift Start-up. Continuously improve through the KAS and Safety program, meeting department goals. Working to maintain a clean & organized workplace environment (5s) to include the disposal of scrap totes and containment of material around ancillary equipment. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
