This role involves the life cycle management and maintenance of proprietary and customer-owned tooling. The manager will lead the tooling team, providing training, development, mentorship, and day-to-day supervision to ensure safe and compliant operations within the ISO 13485 quality management system and current Good Manufacturing Processes. Key responsibilities include managing preventative maintenance, scheduling repairs, overseeing outside tooling vendors, quoting and managing mold builds, evaluating tooling needs, and collaborating with other departments to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes. The role also involves training direct reports, developing tooling procedures, and supporting mold builds and trials.
