About The Position

The Mold Shop and Machine Repair Supervisor is accountable for supervising hourly personnel in all phases of machine and mold shop operation, along with all related design and specification activities. The Mold Shop and Machine Repair Supervisor will review bottle quality and mold equipment operating data, analyze blueprints, job histories, and specifications to make recommendations relative to equipment operating adjustments and equipment design changes. This role is responsible for the department’s preventive maintenance program, conducts periodic inspections, manages department KPIs, and ensures the correct use of safety equipment and that safety policies are followed. Additionally, the supervisor will oversee Mold Maker apprenticeship programs.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Experience supervising and training employees
Experience managing cross-functional teams
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Ability to support job changes and improvement initiatives
Project management skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization

Nice To Haves

Bachelor Degree in Engineering is preferred
Previous machine repair experience in glass manufacturing
Prior mold shop operation experience is preferred
Working knowledge of SAP desired
