About The Position

NyproMold, a Jabil company, is seeking a motivated high school or trade school student interested in precision mold making, plastic injection molding, and manufacturing. The Co-Op student will work alongside experienced Process Technicians and Engineers in the Mold Qualification Center, gaining hands-on experience with mold setup, testing, inspection, and qualification activities.

The role involves learning under supervision in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The student will assist with mold preparation and qualification, collect samples, support inspections, document activities, and maintain a safe and organized work area. The position may include other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently attending high school or trade school.
• Eagerness to learn quickly.
• Interest in mechanical systems, manufacturing, machining, or engineering.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work in a hands-on environment.
• Good attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to visually inspect detailed markings and part features.
• Ability to lift and move materials or components weighing up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and Technicians with mold preparation, setup, and qualification activities.
• Learn the basic operation and functions of plastic injection molding equipment under supervision.
• Assist with collecting molded samples and organizing parts for inspection.
• Support basic mold inspections, cleaning, and preparation for testing.
• Help document qualification activities and maintain accurate records.
• Learn to identify mold components, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with the position and as directed by the supervisor.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
