About The Position

The Mold Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient production of quality parts using compression molding machines in a manufacturing environment. This role involves following instructions, documented processes, and training procedures to accurately produce parts that meet quality standards. The operator will manage quality through training practices, ensure compliance with safety practices by wearing appropriate PPE and following job hazard controls, and conduct visual inspections of parts to detect flaws or defects. Additionally, the operator will offer suggestions for productivity improvement, maintain quality and quantity output, monitor machines for problems, and request assistance when needed. The role also includes learning and demonstrating the proper use of molding tools, cleaning machinery, maintaining a clean work area, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and on the job training
  • Ability to communicate in either Spanish or English
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to details is required.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to act and interact with others in a respectful manner.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Requires standing, walking, twisting, and occasionally bending.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Normal memory, taking into consideration the amount and type of information.
  • Required use of hands to pick up, handle and move parts often.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains acceptable attendance to successfully support production goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
