About The Position

At SyBridge Technologies, we're looking for a skilled Mold Maker to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for all aspects of the mold build process, from planning and assembly through final inspection and mold tryout. If you're passionate about craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you. As a Class A Mold Maker, you'll be responsible for building, assembling, repairing, and validating precision injection molds while ensuring every tool meets the highest standards for quality, accuracy, and performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience safely operating overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable working around varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and other manufacturing conditions
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment as required

Nice To Haves

  • Ten (10) years of related experience as a mold maker, preferred
  • Red Seal certification is considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of mold construction, assembly, repair, and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Build, fit, assemble, and repair injection molds from start to finish
  • Perform final inspections, complete work documentation, and maintain material traceability
  • Fit and assemble mold components, including cooling and heating circuits, ejector systems, runner systems, and spotting press operations
  • Spot, troubleshoot, and validate molds to ensure proper function and performance
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools and specialized inspection equipment
  • Develop and execute detailed mold build plans, including layout, calculations, templates, tooling aids, and verification of mold components
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Identify tooling concerns and communicate issues or improvement opportunities to the appropriate team members
  • Safely operate overhead cranes to transport molds and mold components (up to 50,000 lbs.)
  • Safely operate forklifts to move molds and prepare them for tryouts (up to 5,000 lbs.)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project status between shifts
