About The Position

As a Mold Maintenance Apprentice, you’ll be part of our Mission team located in Mission, TX. You’ll get to: Report equipment, personnel and process issues to the Department Supervisor. Performs mold setting following safety guidelines Learns and performs basic repairs on molds Learns and performs Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair tooling problems on the production floor. Performs preventive maintenance of mold cavities and cores to ensure continuous production Performs model changes on molds. Assembly and disassembly of all components required in mold repair process and learns how to repair hot runner systems. Use various measuring devices including micrometers, calipers, gauges and all inspection equipment Become trained to use milling machines, welders, EDM, CNC milling machines, manual and automatic grinders, polishing machines, including use of polishing stones, surface plates, cranes and lift trucks. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace. Work with the team to meet delivery dates Other duties assigned to meet the business needs.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
Minimum 1-year of previous experience in mechanical position.
Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to communicate verbally and/or in written form effectively.
Able to work with a minimum supervision
Must possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Schedule flexibility.
Must be able to rotate shifts (Day or afternoon) and overtime if needed.
Self-confident, motivated and pro-active.
Ability to Multi-task
