This position operates a variety of molding machines to produce moderately complex wax pattern and gating components of the highest quality. The operator will also inspect, trim, and clean wax parts as required. The role involves preparing tooling dies for operation, including assembly, disassembly, positioning, and changing die inserts. It also includes adding chills and solubles per tech cards and cleaning tooling after operation. The operator will set up, monitor, and control mold machine functions, keeping dies clean during molding operations, removing wax parts from dies, inspecting for defects, and trimming. Additionally, the operator will complete logs and records, document any modifications to the process, and meet all production and quality standards. Safety is a key objective, requiring adherence to plant and department safety rules, safe operation of all equipment and tools, and identification and reporting of safety problems. This role may involve training less skilled operators, performing other directed tasks, and potentially working with hazardous waste.
