About The Position

The Mold Attendant is responsible for the efficient and safe operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of injection molds within the manufacturing facility, ensuring high-quality product output.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with injection molding or similar equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
  • Ability to read and understand technical instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate injection molding machines and ancillary equipment according to established procedures.
  • Perform routine mold changes, setups, and adjustments to optimize production.
  • Conduct visual inspections of molded parts for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Clean and maintain molds, tools, and work areas to prevent contamination and ensure smooth operation.
  • Load raw materials into hoppers and ensure proper material handling.
  • Troubleshoot basic mold and machine issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance or engineering.
  • Document production activities, including mold changes, downtime, and quality checks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to achieve operational goals.
