Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent)
  • Previous Mohs, dermatology, or surgical experience
  • Experience assisting with procedures and sterile technique
  • Experience in Dermatology
  • Experience in Plastic Surgery
  • Experience in Ophthalmology
  • Experience in Oral Surgery
  • Experience in ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)
  • Experience in General Surgery
  • Experience in other procedural or surgical specialties

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Mohs surgery procedures, surgical excisions, and other dermatologic surgeries
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies while maintaining sterile technique
  • Assist physicians in delivering high-quality patient care
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories and vital signs
  • Secure appropriate surgical consents and documentation
  • Educate patients regarding procedures and post-operative care instructions
  • Call in prescriptions and coordinate medication requests as directed
  • Perform post-operative patient follow-up calls
  • Schedule surgeries and coordinate patient care needs
  • Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records
  • Ensure patients receive an exceptional experience from check-in through follow-up care
  • Assist with patient flow and clinic operations as needed
  • Room patients and prepare them for treatment
  • Support front-office functions when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness, infection control, and safety standards throughout the clinic
