About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Mohs Medical Assistant with strong customer service and clinical skills to support patient care in its dermatology practice in Tampa, Florida. The role assists physicians and patients during Mohs surgery and other surgical procedures, while also performing clinical and administrative tasks. Requirements

• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of vital signs.
• Working knowledge of dermatologic surgery and sterile technique.
• Ability to work as a team player and dedication to patient care.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Surgical or Mohs experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures, including Mohs surgery and surgical excisions.
• Assist the physician in providing quality care to surgery patients.
• Maintain patient medical records.
• Review patient medical history.
• Obtain appropriate consents.
• Call in prescriptions.
• Perform patient callbacks.
• Assist with scheduling surgeries and administrative tasks.
• Screen patients and employees upon entry, as needed.
• Check patients in and out, as needed.
• Room patients and follow social distancing guidelines, as needed.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Sanitize and clean respective areas as needed.
