Mohs Medical Assistant/Nurse
About The Position
We are seeking a Mohs Medical Assistant or Nurse to join our Mohs team! A Mohs Medical Assistant/Nurse is a specialized clinical professional who coordinates care for skin cancer patients undergoing Mohs micrographic surgery. Operating in an outpatient setting, this role serves as the primary point person between the patient and the surgical team, ensuring safety, efficiency, and clinical precision throughout the multi-step procedural day. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up procedural trays, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience.
Requirements
- BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, verify medical histories, obtain informed consent, and assist the provider during the surgeries
- Clean instruments and equipment after use
- Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
- Assist other team members and doctor with Mohs procedures
- Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle medical office duties
