About The Position

Exciting opportunity to join the growing Mohs Dermatology team as a part-time (28 hour/week) Mohs Histology Tech! In this role you will perform orienting, embedding, cutting, and staining of frozen tissue specimens. You will freeze tissue samples, cut frozen sections and mount samples on slides, prepare correct reagents and solutions utilized in procedure, and maintain quality control logs for slide review. To be successful in this role you need clinical experience, a passion for team building and integration, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Histology Tech.
• Previous frozen section experience required.
• Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas, is an essential function of all positions at the Clinic.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Mohs or Dermatology is strongly preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) program preferred.
• HT (ASCP) or HLT (ASCP) certification preferred.
• Previous experience with computer software is helpful.
• Passion for team building and integration.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
