About The Position

Our thirst for technology is a part of everything we do. The Data Center Engineering team takes the physical design of our data centers into the future. Our lab mirrors a research and development department -- cutting-edge strategies are born, tested and tested again. Along with a team of great minds, you take on complex topics like how we use power or how to run state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly facilities. You're a visionary who optimizes for efficiencies and never stops seeking improvements -- even small changes that can make a huge impact. You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians. With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical). As a Lead Modular Data Center Product Engineer, you will drive the design and integration of high-density, modular/prefabricated data center product portfolio. You will bridge the gap between complex structural engineering and electrical/thermal systems, transforming sophisticated concepts into factory-ready, manufacturable assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in facility design and construction environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Master's degree in Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Systems and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 7 years of experience developing modular data center products.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer high-performance steel enclosures optimize module layouts, ensuring maximum density for power distribution, server racks, and cooling infrastructure.
  • Develop comprehensive electrical infrastructure (including UPS, BESS, and switchgear) and integrate mechanical and control systems to eliminate spatial or functional conflicts.
  • Perform structural analysis for transport and installation integrity, while leading cooling solution implementation through advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling.
  • Translate complex concepts into manufacturable designs and produce precision deliverables, such as single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and cable schedules.
  • Direct prototype development, oversee factory witness testing and commissioning, provide ongoing technical support, and ensure compliance with UL and NFPA standards.
