About The Position

The Greece Central School District is seeking a Modified Indoor Track Coach for the Winter 2026-2027 season. The coach will be responsible for developing and managing a strong grade 7-12 athletic program, overseeing in-season and off-season conditioning, expanding community feeder programs, developing a unified coaching staff, and emphasizing academics, sportsmanship, and chemical-free participation. Encouraging multiple sport participation by team members is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

• A valid New York State teaching certificate in Physical Education (K-12) or another classroom subject area, a Professional Coaching Certificate, or eligibility for a Temporary Coaching License.
• Valid and acceptable First Aid, CPR, and AED certificates for coaches at the time of appointment.
• Completion of the following coursework prior to appointment: Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse, SAVE, DASA, Concussion.
• Willingness to enroll in and complete the Coaching Course Options within the first two years of coaching.
• All new employees must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment through the NYS Education Department before employment begins.
• Responsibility for the fingerprinting fee of $102.00.

• Years of coaching experience at various levels (Youth Organizations, Modified, Junior Varsity and/or Varsity).
• Performance in previous coaching positions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and positively with students and parents.

Responsibilities
