About The Position

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Modification Technician to join its team in Romeoville, Illinois. The role provides in-house modifications to electric motors according to customer specifications. The technician produces reports and tracks Mod Shop activities, works with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issues, and coordinates with the warehouse team to ensure modified motors are properly placed in inventory. The technician also supports the Mod Shop Lead in accomplishing team goals and projects and performs other duties as assigned. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Requirements

Strong knowledge of low-voltage AC motors.
Ability to handle manual and power tools.
Understand and follow safety procedures.
Familiarity with modification procedures.
Familiarity with the inventory control system.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Strong knowledge of industry certification requirements.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
0–5 years of related experience.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.
