Modification Technician - Romeoville IL
About The Position
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Romeoville, IL. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors. The Modification Technician will modify electric motors per customer specification, produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop, and work with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issues. The role requires proficiency with Word and Excel for reporting and tracking, and collaboration with the warehouse team to ensure proper placement of modified motors in inventory. The technician will also support the Mod Shop Lead in accomplishing team goals and projects, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to handle manual and power tools.
- Understand and follow safety procedures.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Familiar with the inventory control system.
- Strong knowledge of industry certification requirements.
