Amerisure is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineering Manager to join our team in a hybrid work environment (2 days onsite) at our Farmington Hills office. We are looking for a strategic, people‑focused leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for enabling a modern, collaborative, and high‑performing workplace. Summary Statement The Modern Workplace Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers in designing, implementing, and optimizing workplace technologies that drive productivity, collaboration, and seamless user experiences. This role focuses on managing enterprise-wide solutions, including physical and virtual client management, client networking, conference room collaboration, and productivity applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8 years of experience in IT engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in enterprise workplace technologies, including endpoint management, collaboration tools, and networking solutions.
  • Experience leading teams in deploying and managing Microsoft 365, endpoint management platforms, and video conferencing solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud as seen through job experience or certifications.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting for IT process optimization.
  • Deep understanding of IT service management frameworks, including ITIL.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of workplace engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with business leaders to understand requirements and deliver workplace solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration.
  • Define and drive the strategy for modern workplace technologies, ensuring alignment with business needs and IT objectives.
  • Oversee the architecture, deployment, and management of workplace technology solutions, including endpoint management, collaboration tools, and connectivity services.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Platform Operations, Application Engineering, Security, and Service Management, to ensure a seamless end-user experience.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive workplace modernization initiatives.
