Amerisure is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineering Manager to join our team in a hybrid work environment (2 days onsite) at our Farmington Hills office. We are looking for a strategic, people‑focused leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for enabling a modern, collaborative, and high‑performing workplace. Summary Statement The Modern Workplace Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers in designing, implementing, and optimizing workplace technologies that drive productivity, collaboration, and seamless user experiences. This role focuses on managing enterprise-wide solutions, including physical and virtual client management, client networking, conference room collaboration, and productivity applications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8 years of experience in IT engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong technical expertise in enterprise workplace technologies, including endpoint management, collaboration tools, and networking solutions.
Experience leading teams in deploying and managing Microsoft 365, endpoint management platforms, and video conferencing solutions.
Strong understanding of Azure cloud as seen through job experience or certifications.
Proficiency in automation and scripting for IT process optimization.
Deep understanding of IT service management frameworks, including ITIL.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of workplace engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Engage with business leaders to understand requirements and deliver workplace solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration.
Define and drive the strategy for modern workplace technologies, ensuring alignment with business needs and IT objectives.
Oversee the architecture, deployment, and management of workplace technology solutions, including endpoint management, collaboration tools, and connectivity services.
Develop and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Platform Operations, Application Engineering, Security, and Service Management, to ensure a seamless end-user experience.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive workplace modernization initiatives.
