Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Product Support group. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree in STEM and 0 years of experience
Familiarity with other Product Support disciplines.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance or higher.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Sustainment Modeling, LORA and O&S Cost estimating.
Systems performance monitoring and analysis.
Experience with Python programming language.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Active, In scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

Support analyses including: cost analysis (Development and Operations & Support), Readiness (Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Improvement, Spares forecasting, Fleet Readiness Modeling); Obsolescence forecasting; Level of Repair Analysis (LORA); and spares modeling.
Interface with other functional departments, including Air Vehicle, Avionics, Systems Engineering, R&M, Diminishing Material Shortages (DMS) team, Support Hardware, and supplier design engineers to collect data and strategize/provide solutions.
Handle multiple tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Tools is essential.
