About The Position

MCSG is seeking a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Developer to support the 392d Combat Training Squadron's (392 CTS) exercise scenario development as part of USSF service level exercise missions at Schriever SFB, CO, and support the ongoing deployment and integration efforts for novel M&S solutions across the USSF Deltas. The M&S Developer will be essential in the operation of the state-of-the-art Space Warfighting Operational Readiness Domain (SWORD) to provide space M&S for USSF exercises and mission-focused events. The M&S Developer on the Integration Team supports exercise scenario development for USSF exercises (e.g., SPACE FLAG) by creating orbital, terrestrial, electromagnetic, and other models and simulations using SWORD's internal M&S-based tools and applicable M&S tools. The candidate will also require exceptional communication skills and the ability to conduct group-focused Simulation Familiarization as well as produce procedural documentation as needed. This position is at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, and requires on-site support.

Requirements

Experience using STK, ODTK, and other M&S tools to plan analysis of orbital maneuvers, build functional orbital and space terrestrial models (e.g., space domain awareness (SDA), communications, electronic warfare, directed energy), and develop exercise scenarios.
Experience supporting modeling, simulation, and analysis of space-related problems.
Experience modeling space scenarios for system evaluation and mission effectiveness.
Experience with basic proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Matlab, or Perl.
Experience in one or more of the following: orbital analysis and prediction, electromagnetic warfare, satellite control network (SCN), missile warning and tracking (MWT), or other Space Mission Areas, with a focus on utilization of M&S tools supporting the aforementioned mission areas.
Experience providing group and individual-focused instruction and training on technically complex systems, including understanding of pedagogy and proper instruction and evaluation procedures.
Experience creating procedural documentation, such as job aids or other step-by-step technical documentation, and interpreting technical documentation.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
IAT Level II Certification required.
Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

Level III certified in STK.
Previously certified Orbital Analyst or similar.
Previously certified with an Electronic Warfare weapons system or similar.
Previously certified as crew with a Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) unit or similar.
Experience managing projects from initial design to completion.
Graduate of Space 300 and the 319 CTS/ASOPS Advanced Orbital Mechanics courses.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to determine and develop M&S requirements for USSF exercises in concert with the SWORD Program Office.
Identify gaps and shortfalls in current M&S tools and recommend solutions to the SWORD Program Office to provide timely, realistic exercise capabilities as part of the 392 CTS M&S team.
Create Red and Blue orbital and terrestrial, electromagnetic, and other models and simulations using internal SWORD tools and external M&S capabilities to support execution of USSF exercise scenarios.
Provide assistance to exercise planning conferences, coordination meetings, training events, and other related activities.
Participate as part of the Exercise Control Group (ECG) and White Cell, as required, for various 392 CTS-hosted USSF exercises and mission-focused events.
Capture, analyze, and report M&S observations identified during the design, planning, and execution of 392 CTS-hosted USSF exercises and mission-focused events.
Support hot wash debriefs and After Action Report development for applicable USSF exercises or mission-focused events.
Attend technical interchange meetings (TIM), in-progress reviews, and programmatic-level meetings related to 392 CTS-sponsored USSF exercises and mission-focused events.
Develop schedules, plans, and briefings; coordinate and monitor activities; and report on those activities through trip reports, briefings, meeting minutes, point papers, quad charts, and other related materials.
Attend weekly organizational meetings, as necessary, to maintain awareness of 392 CTS leadership priorities, tasks, and issues.
Conduct group-focused Simulation Familiarization events and support the production and interpretation of technical and procedural documentation as needed, including training aids and technical manuals.
Carry out tasks as directed by contract leadership as required to ensure 392 CTS mission success.
