About The Position

The Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Specialist will primarily focus on MAGTF-level simulation systems and will cross train into other M&S simulation systems as required. The M&S Specialist reports to and receives work direction from the Project Manager through the local Company Site Lead. The M&S Specialist will perform various duties related to operating, instructing, maintaining, and analyzing simulation models, participating in exercise development, researching military force compositions, translating operations orders into simulation databases, conducting pre- and post-event analysis, and reporting training system utilization data.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum five years of operational experience in combat arms, with a focus on intelligence operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the MAGTF-level, as measured by actual operational force employment experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with others and senior management.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Valid U.S. Passport required
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
  • A NATO-Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in experience as an Intelligence Officer
  • Served on an MEB/MEF staff or above
  • Experience in intelligence planning, collection management, and operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, provide instruction, and maintain various training to simulation models with respect to a functional area of operations, with respect to billet assignment and contractor’s personal military background (e.g., signals intelligence, electronic warfare or electromagnetic spectrum).
  • Provide analysis of assigned functional area and identify strengths and weaknesses as they occur during a simulation-supported event.
  • Maintain proficiency as an M&S Specialist and cross-train into other simulation systems as assigned.
  • Train, operate, and maintain new simulation models or upgrades to current simulation models.
  • Participate in Exercise Development and perform duties as the Warfighting Center lead planner for exercises as assigned.
  • Research documents and extracts or factual data for composition of military forces for a model/simulation.
  • Participate in and conducts reviews and structured walk-through of simulation events and training, operation orders and plans, and information gathering requirements.
  • Provide analysis during exercises and attends conferences and meetings at both the resident site and other locations off-site.
  • Translate operations orders into simulation databases.
  • Conduct pre-event tests and evaluation of supporting databases, and parametric data.
  • Conduct post-event critique and analysis employing various after-action review systems.
  • Capture and report training system utilization data.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
