The M&S Software Integration Engineer will support the mission of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Engineering Directorate Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Office to test the Missile Defense System (MDS) in a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment, including MDS Ground Test (GT) events and MDS Flight Test support (pre-mission risk reduction, mission execution team training, and post-flight reconstruction), as well as M&S development and test support to other Department of Defense (DoD) Partners. Responsibilities and areas of support include, but are not limited to the following: Support the integration, testing, and operation of HWIL simulation environments for MDS Ground Tests, Flight Tests, and continuous integration activities. Conduct installation, configuration, checkout, and testing of Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) systems in accordance with program requirements. Analyze HWIL architecture performance and assist in identifying and resolving hardware/software integration issues. Evaluate and troubleshoot network traffic and connections Responsible for installing and configuring M&S Framework in compliance with program instructions, ensuring functionality between MDA elements, and documenting configurations and results within the government lab Execute test scenarios, including threat modeling and simulation for mission-specific requirements. Document system configurations, test procedures, and results, and generate reports to support test events and analysis. Adhere to current processes and procedures, provide status as requested, and collaborate with team members in person and electronically Collaborate with teams and support mission planning, execution, and post-event analysis for ground and flight test activities, including pre-mission risk reduction and post-flight reconstruction.
