About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer with an active Secret clearance to join our team in Beavercreek, Ohio. The role involves using strong technical and communication skills to collaborate with engineering and scientific teams to integrate an infrared threat simulation into a multispectral few-on-few engagement simulation environment. This position requires participation in the design and implementation of tools, testing and evaluation of software, and documentation for the government customer.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE or a related field with 2+ years of applicable experience or an MS degree in CS, CE, EE, or a related field
Experience with C++
Experience with Linux
Experience with modeling and simulation (M&S) techniques
Excellent English-language written and verbal communication. Strong emphasis on writing ability
Great people skills and the desire to work with technical teams of engineers and scientists
Ability to work independently and under deadlines in a mixed government-contractor environment
Current and active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to the integration of an infrared threat simulation into a multispectral few-on-few, C++ based simulation environment
Work with a team of engineers and collaborate on team tasking
Collaborate with teams of government and contractor personnel
Participate in the design and implementation of tools that support the wider multispectral simulation
Test and evaluate implementations, provide feedback to developmental team and team partners
Develop, code and test software and prepare documentation requested by the government customer
